How To Make a Pumpkin Spice Latte

Step 1: Warm Milk
Combine the milk, pumpkin purée, and sugar in a small saucepan. Heat over medium, whisking often, just until it starts to steam. Remove from heat.

Step 2: Add Spices
Whisk in the vanilla and pumpkin pie spice until blended. If you like, use an electric frother.
Step 3 : Add Coffee

Pour the milk base into a mug and top with brewed espresso. If you like, add a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle of more pumpkin pie spice, and serve!
Recipe tips
This recipe will work with any milk you prefer, from whole milk to oat milk. If you are using a nondairy milk, make sure it is plain and unsweetened!
Add more or less coffee to your final drink. This recipe makes 1 large or 2 small lattes, but you can add more espresso shots as desired.
If you’re making the pumpkin spice milk in advance, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. A jar works well, because you’ll want to remix it before adding to coffee, and a good shake will work! Or, pour the milk into your frothing cup and use the wand to warm, mix, and froth.

Prefer an iced pumpkin spice latte? Let the milk mixture cool while brewing the espresso (or make it in advance and chill). Fill a large glass with ice and pour the espresso over the ice first, then pour in the milk.
Whether you love it hot or cold, a pumpkin spice latte is always perfect on a fall day!
