Why This Caramelized Bananas Recipe is So Good

  • You only need a few basic ingredients to make Caramelized Bananas, which you likely already have in your pantry.
  • Making Caramelized Bananas is quick and easy. Simply slice the bananas and toss them in brown sugar. Then cook them in the frying pan with melted butter until golden brown and perfectly gooey on the inside.

Tips and Tricks for Making Caramelized Bananas

  • You can slice the bananas into long strips if desired.
  • It’s important to choose the right bananas. Use ripe but firm bananas, which are easier to slice and won’t turn mushy during cooking.
  • Be careful not to use too much butter or sugar, as this can result in a soggy or overly sweet dish. The amount provided in the recipe has been tested to give you the perfect balance of sweetness.
  • Once the bananas are in the pan, resist the urge to constantly stir them. Let them cook for a few minutes on each side before flipping, to allow the caramelization to occur.
  • Caramelized bananas are best served hot and fresh from the pan.
  • Experiment with different spices and flavors to create your own unique twist on this classic dessert. We think pumpkin spice or cinnamon would be a great addition to this dish.
